Our summer might be rainy and windy, but it’s still pretty hot and humid. For the past few weeks our weeks were gloomy, but weekends were absolutely wonderful. Speaking of weekend, what can be more satisfying on a hot weekend than drinking cold, refreshing and summery cocktail like Mojito?
The combination of mint leaves, grapefruit and sweet syrup is always a win win for summer nights! It doesn’t always have to include alcohol, it can be a mocktail, depends on your liking, but you must try out this grapefruit mojito recipe!
- 2 oz white rum
- 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 4 oz sparkling water
- 1/2 oz lime juice
- 2 tablespoons of sugar syrup
- ice (as needed)
- 8 fresh mint leaves
- extra mint leaves and lime for glass decoration (if desired)
Place the mint leaves in a glass and muddle gently.
Stir together the rum, sugar syrup, grapefruit and lime juice. Top with soda and add ice until the drink has chilled.
Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and enjoy.
