Skincare Essentials: Face Oil, Body Oil & Cuticle Serum

Skincare Essentials face oil, body oil & cuticle serum (1 of 5)

I wrote a lot about skincare essentials and mentioned the use of face & body oils, but never have I said the cuticle serum.
In this post, I will talk about the skincare essentials that I’ve been using for quite a while now. Even by looking at these photos you can see that I took them after I started to use those products because of the product amount that is left.
Everything, except the cuticle serum, I’ve purchased at Sephora and the serum from Amazon (click on pictures below to shop).

Herbivore Orchid Facial Oil

I reviewed it here, so to keep it short yes I’m still using it, yes, I’m happy with it, no I didn’t have any breakouts, and yes it’s a dry oil, so no greasiness left afterwards.
Again, I’m using this facial oil in the morning, before applying any skincare product. After applying a few drops of the product, I massage my face with the Gua Sha tool and only then continue my skincare routine.

Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

I use it only at night as I find it a bit heavy for the day, especially if I’m wearing makeup after. It works for me at night time because my skin is dry these days and so it helps to restore my hydration balance (in combination with other products of course). Again, I’m using it after cleaning my face and before applying any skincare product. Same as in the morning I lightly massage it with the Gua Sha tool and continue with the night routine.

Herbivore Rose Quartz Illuminating Body Oil

Just as it says, it’s a body oil with mineral pigments for a “subtle shimmer and glows.” Surprisingly it didn’t remove my self-tanner, but I’ve been carefully using it when my tanner is fading off and before I’m re-applying it. This body oil smells heavenly and helps with skin dryness as well as visually improving the texture (say hello to the subtle glow). I love that it has the pump instead of a spray because it’s more comfortable in the application. One thing that you need to know is that all of those mineral pigments settle at the bottom of the bottle so before using it you need to shake it. Not a big deal so I’m pretty happy.

Sally Hansen Nail + Cuticle Serum

The best thing ever! I can’t stop telling how much I love it! Being a new mom and having very little free time on my hands it makes it hard to take care of all the parts of your body so (an honest confession) I didn’t wear nail polish in 3 weeks now. I know it’s good to give your nails a rest, and I’m not complaining, but I’m just used to painting my nails every 6-7 days, so I kinda miss that.
Well, this nail & cuticle serum is a real lifesaver because at some part of my newly motherhood my hands started to look as if I was gardening and not taking care of a baby lol. So this product helped a lot with the hydration, smoothness and overall exceptional appearance of my hands. I do my own manicure, so girls, ladies and gentlemen who do it themselves will get what I mean.

That’s it. I hope you liked my newbies’ review!
