Button Down Dress Biggest Dress Trend of Summer

When it comes to trendy things I am always careful to get them for two reasons: 1) is money, I don’t want to spend all of my money for a one season trend item, that will be stored in my locker room forever after that and 2) is I just don’t get some of them. I mean I know if this dress or bag or choker necklace is all over the magazines, stores, Instagram and everywhere else it must be trendy, but if it’s not my thing I’ll pass on that.

This summer the button down dress trend came, and I jumped in this bandwagon by looking, selecting and buying some of the pieces for myself as this is entirely my type of a trend. Other trends are of course straw bags (which I already have four of), super slim cat eye sunglasses (got myself two pairs) and natural fabrics, but I already spoke too much about it in my previous posts, lol
What I can say, spring/summer 2018 has all the trends that I love, that I will wear for the next couple of seasons and that fit me well.

I’ve posted this button-down dress twice on my Instagram and had very positive feedback from you guys on it so here are more photos just in case if you wanted to see it closely or from different angles. What I can say the downside of this dress is unadjustable straps (a big bummer), as the straps kept falling all the time. I will cut and sew them shorter to adjust them to my figure. The biggest pro is the dress lining. Since it’s white, it is good to know that you are covered in all the places.
I wore this dress on its own and, as you can see from the last photos, with the oversized denim jacket, which is not my typical style. I liked it both ways, which extends the period I can wear this button down dress in.
