Dress for Less: Capes.

Burberry, Fashion, Jane Norman, Missoni, Style, The Row, TopShop, Vince, Warehouse, Yves Saint Laurent, Dress for Less, Cape, Trends

If you’ve been following this year Fall/Winter trends you probably know that capes and ponchos are in favour!
Considering warm autumn and fairly mild December I’ve been seeing those items on most of the popular fashion bloggers and celebrities. There are many patterns, colours, lengths, with or without the hood, poncho like cape and coat like cape, so I’ve decided to create my own list of Cape Faves.

The good question is how to wear them?
Well if you’ve been following the latest fashion weeks than you probably saw a lot of combinations, I’ll point out few of them.

Short Capes.
With skinny jeans, riding boots, knitted lightweight scarf, sweater or shirt + cardigan underneath and big satchel.

Medium length Capes.
Skirt or shorts, knee high boots and smaller bag. As for the top – you can be dressed up or dressed down, anyway it will look stylish. Good quality beret and matchning gloves will add “big city chic” effect.

Long Capes.
Well they will be perfect for those night out dresses, corporate parties dresses and long gowns (when the weather is just right for that). Hanging basically on your shoulders it won’t wrinkle your precious dress so you don’t have to worry about ironing or steaming it once again.

Thank you Jeanne, I feel like big thick scarf can be also folded in poncho/cape style, specially if cinched with the belt at the waist 🙂
