Sometimes I feel like a typical Canadian by complaining about the weather. It might sound funny, but the high temperatures and super humidity make me feel sticky, tired and have migraines. And while I feel like I’ll melt faster than an ice-cream, I found one of the great ideas on how to dress up for summer heat.
The answer is the comfort (of course), natural fabrics and air. Wearing natural fabrics will avoid that sweaty look and feel. Having some “air” in between your body and your clothing will help your body to breathe and add some expat ventilation. As you can see all that I’ve mentioned above is presented in my beautiful button-down khaki dress.
Style it with any footwear or accessories. Add a long thin cardigan on top for the air-conditioned spaces, and you’re ready for the day! For this look, I chose sneakers like espadrilles and a small suede bag. To complement the rose gold tone from the bag hardware I’ve added up a dainty necklace and my white & rose gold watch. To me, this linen button-down khaki dress is an epitome of summer and all the summer trends. By the way, it is lined but has no pockets, so it’s 1:1.
