It’s been 3 months since I splurged on my new obsession: Glossier makeup & skincare, and now it’s time I select my top and not.
So I’ll start with the top products first.
Glossier makeup & skincare: Yay or Nay?
Glossier Cloud Paint.
The. Best. Product. Ever!
I’ve tried liquid blushes before and none of them were good for me at least. One of them lasted the whole day of running errands and wearing a mask. None of them were natural-looking, but the Glossier ones are my absolute love! I got two colors: Puff & Storm. It’s very easy to blend with your ring finger and the color itself is buildable so you will have that natural blush color. I’ll name it a must buy and I honestly think that everyone should have at least one cloud paint in their arsenal.
The second best makeup product from Glossier! How good is it you’ll ask? I bought one in color Pony and after receiving and trying it I immediately bought two more in Driver and Genius. Honestly, I still want to get the one in Baby, but it’s currently out of stock on the website.
Love the color payoff, it stays quite well on the lips, it’s buildable and despite the mentioned “high shine” in the description it’s not super shiny, more like a satin lip, which is even better for me!
Love it, got it in the color blond. Probably one of the best pros products I’ve tried so far. It’s rich in consistency, gives the brow shape for a long time. But it ends up very fast, which is the only downside of this product.
Solution (exfoliating skin perfector).
It’s a very gentle toner, which I apply only in the morning. I’ve noticed my skin became more even after 3 weeks so will be definitely repurchasing it for as long as they sell it!
Lash Slick Mascara.
Ok so at first I didn’t like it, it was drying up dry fast so it took me a few tries to figure out the best way of application. After two times I loved it! It’s buildable (but you have to do it really fast, otherwise it won’t work), it long-wearing (it passed the tears/snow/rain test), and it doesn’t leave you with panda eyes when you remove your makeup. The biggest downside is that it dries up so fast in 2 weeks you need a new tube. Which is quite expensive.
So my thoughts on it 50/50.
Probably would take it with me on a tropical vacation, or wear it to any places with high humidity, and that’s it.
Body Hero Daily Perfecting Cream.
Good. Light. Smells ok, like Coppertone.
Too thin for cold winter and dry skin, but will work amazing in summer, especially with this subtle shimmer that you have after the application.
Pro Tip Eyeliner.
I wanted to love it, I really did.
It’s so thin you can apply it daily and your makeup will look very “daytime”. Stays the whole day… but
But same as mascara it dries up so quickly you are not able to use it after 1.5 weeks.
Great, but be careful.
With masks, I developed some acne here and there, so I use only a little amount and it basically “melts” the zit. So if you are suffering from acne make sure to read the instructions and use it carefully and it’s very powerful.
Futuredew (oil serum hybrid)
I’d say it’s ok.
Ok for winter and I’m sure I won’t use it in the summer, otherwise I’ll look too greasy if you know what I mean.
Although if you mix it with the heavy foundation it will thin it and make it more natural-looking, that’s how I’ve been using it recently.
