The long wool coat is a winter must-have which doesn’t depend on the place where you are living. This wardrobe staple will go with any outfit from formal to party or dinner night out and will elevate the entire look even if it’s cozy casual.
I was a bit bored of the black, grey & camel solid coloured wool coats, so I decided to add a bit of fun and a new colour, so I went ahead and got this burgundy long wool coat! It’s the same price and style as my check coat (which I’ve posted here), but because of the colour looks a bit different.
Burgundy is one of those colours that I could wear all year round, but because we have quite a long fall/winter season I wear it half of the year without a doubt. To add up I have a few sweaters and a bag in the same colour, and I’m not even talking about my nail polishes 🙂
As for the coat, the style you see is what I call “weatherproofed”, meaning that my long wool coat covers me everywhere, and over the knee boots and turtleneck dress are also sealing all the spots where I might feel cold and uncomfortable. It would look beautiful with the plaid scarf, but if I don’t have it with me and it’s getting chillier, I can unfold all the lapels and create another layer of warmth.
The winter is not over, so you’ll see me styling casual, classic and elevated outfits with the same coat, so I’ll try to link them one to another so you can keep track of them!
