It’s not a secret, 90’s trends are getting more and more popular and mom jeans are one of it.
I personally love everything that has a high waist and everything that is comfortable, yet stylish and trendy. Never-less I was always skeptical on how straight cut jeans will fit me. I’m forever a skinny jeans girl and maximum that I’ve tried were boyfriend fit jeans, which didn’t stay long in my closet. So when I decided to try out the mom fit jeans I was a bit nervous.
How will I style them, will they fit me just how I imagine it, are they really that comfortable, what if only models can rock them? These and other questions were in my mind when I pressed the “Buy” button on the website.
Now, I keep repeating it that I shop mostly online these days. I might even do a separate post on how I do it, all my tips and tricks. Usually I succeed in it, but sometimes I do return some items.
This happened with those jeans. Being optimistic, I bought two pairs of dark blue and black wash in my regular size and when I received them I realized how big they were. My husband who was not happy at all with me ordering this kind of jeans was a bit sarcastic when I tried the first pair. Oh well, it did look horrible on me. As you can see I’ve sized down (one size) and re-ordered both pairs and now I understood why people like them so much.
I didn’t have any problem with styling them, more than that I even found a few new ways on how to style my old wardrobe faves, so I’m very happy that I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to try out the mom jeans trend on myself.
As for the styling, here is one of the numerous variations that you’ll see on me throughout the fall/winter time.
