If you are my old follower, you know by now that I’m not too crazy about pink in clothing or accessories, but I love some pink flowers, roses perfume or like in this case skincare and makeup that looks or packaged in pink.
I specifically bought those three items to try out in the summertime and here are my thoughts on them.
It took me a few tries of applying this CC cream to become best friends with it. At first, it just didn’t work on me. Looked caked, didn’t blend properly and was kind of patchy. Then, I gave it a second chance with a different makeup base, and it worked like a charm.
On my dry to combination skin, it works best with the light base, that kind of base this CC cream can glide on. I also tried it with the Smashbox Photofinish Oil, and it applied great as well!
It does what it says on the box, covers, blends in with my skin tone nicely and I look even more fresh with it, rather than with other foundations. This Moisture Surge CC Cream has an SPF 30, which is good for a lazybones like me, who continually forgets to apply the sunscreen. Side note, I also have the SPF finishing powder to give me double protection.
As you have already guessed the base is…
It is a splurge. The price is high for a base. It is worth every dollar. It does give my skin a radiant look as if I was glowing from the inside, but it is very, very delicate!
It doesn’t irritate the skin; it suits every skin type you know, and it will be a repurchase for sure. I’m half over the bottle, but I don’t use it on an everyday basis. Mostly when we go out, take photos, or on the days I need extra TLC or want to feel special 🙂
I didn’t buy it to match my CC cream; I just needed a gel cream that absorbs quickly and gives me the right amount of moisture and based on the Sephora reviews it was a winner.
I love it. Finished already one jar and got me a new one. Perfect for all seasons and excellent light cream to apply before your makeup routine. Short and simple, but hey it does the job right, and that’s why it’s on my list.
