We finally received our wedding photos and it was thrilling to finally see all of them. We were happy but little stressed so some of the wedding moments were little bit blurry to us! Now seeing all what happened makes me feel just like that special day was yesterday and I know we did everything right. We didn’t have any problems, but we were prepared just in case, if you know what I mean 🙂
What I want to share today are those little details that made our day feel more colorful, plus main ones were handmade by us, which makes it even more special!
Be prepared for the very long post with photos and text :)))
Lets start from the picture frames with the dates. Frames were bought in Ikea and there were on sale so 3 frames cost us $10, and the beautiful fonts were takes from https://www.weddingchicks.com/ which gave me tonns of inspiration by the end of our wedding planning (it’s a pity that I didn’t find them earlier).
Dress was the easiest thing to choose, since I didn’t want the traditional puffy, mermaid or other design gown, I’ve browsed through the https://www.davidsbridal.com/ and found few dresses that I want to try. The chose was done when trying the second dress by Oleg Cassini High-Low Off the Shoulder Satin Ball Gown. Now we didn’t think about the price whatsoever (it turned out lower that expected), main thing was something different, inspired by 50s brides style.
It reminded me of Audrey Hepburn “Funny Face” dress
with mix of Jackie Kennedy dress
So it turned out perfectly gorgeous and comfortable summer wedding dress!
I loved the result!
As for the shoes, I decided to have them in same color as the wedding dress sash, so all was ordered from the David’s Bridal store. I wore them few times at home to make them not so stiff and to avoid any blisters on that special day, so I was able to wear them all day long without any pain!
We chose to rent to tuxedo from Moores Clothing and our both decision was for it to be in rich grey color. The line was Vera Wang Black. Tie, vest and cufflinks were a perfect match for my purple colors!
Throw away garter, guest book and pen, ring pillow were ordered on Ebay, even though they didn’t match our purple color on 100%, they were beautiful!
Make up was done by me as well, and believe me it was 100% sweat, heat, kiss and other resistant! I wore it all day and night long without any touch ups. I might as well do the post on that, since it’s perfect for summer and destination weddings!
Those super tasty vanilla sponge cupcakes were ordered by us 3 days before the wedding from Call Me Cupcake and we asked them to be purple too 🙂
Table centrepieces were made by our local florist, which lasted us almost 2 weeks after the wedding.
For the little guests presents, we bought those pretty boxed from Michaels and each guest had something to take home!
Cake toppers were ordered from Ebay as well, we don’t have other photos since the lighting was that dark, any way the bride hold the Hip Hip and groom holds Horray signs. How cute is that?
