Wine-steamed Mussels.

I don’t often eat mussels, but when I do they either in wine-steamed or tomato sauce. Recently we bought a bunch of halved mussels and my husband asked to make seafood dinner and this is first that came into my mind.
Follow the recipe below and enjoy the best tasting mussels!

You’ll need:

125 grams butter
2 small shallot
4 garlic cloves
2 1/2 pounds of fresh, halved mussels
2 cups of dry wine
1/3 cup chopped parsley
pepper, salt
fresh crusty bread

How to:

Chop shallot and finely chop the garlic, scrub the mussels. Melt the half butter in saucepan, add shallot and garlic, cook for 4 minutes. Add wine, salt and pepper, stir for 2 minutes and add all mussels. Cover, bring to boil and cook for 7 minutes (shake the pan if needed). Once time passed, remove the mussels from the pan and serve to serving bowls. Stir remaining sauce, add the rest of butter, bring to a boil, add parsley and cook for 2 more minutes.
Pour over the mussels and serve immediately with fresh bread.
